Product: HP ELITEBOOK 360 1030 G2
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hello,
After doing some updates via Windows Update, I now have a window indicating at the top "Hp hotkey support" with a blank page of approximately 5x4 cm as soon as I want to change the screen brightness with F3/F4. ..
It also does it for Fn+Esc...
Ideas ? Because if, for example, I lower the brightness completely, the same window must be closed 10 times...
I have already tried resetting windows and reinstalling hp hotkey and updating the graphics driver
Thank you for your help
Alex

I have the same issue on myEliteBook 850 G5. I reinstalled "HP Hotkey Support - UWP System Software Manager Icon 8.10.36.54 Rev.A 15.7 MB Mar 1, 2023" but it did not help.
Trying to contact HP support via this website takes me around in circles - maybe because my laptop is no longer under warranty?
HOW DO WE GET HP'S ATTENTION ON THIS ISSUE?

Hi, as we got less support of HP experts, we have to solve it by our own:
Some users reported to rollback to an older Hotkey driver ---downloadable from the HP Support site: Open the Hotkey Driver package and get one of the previus versions.
As this did not worked for me, I deactivated the Hotkey Device in Device Manager Group. This leads not to disabling the hotkey function itself, but avoids the popup: Tested on my Elite 850 G5.
I agree to everyone that this solution is not very professional, but since the actual driver is not working properly, its HP to provide a smart driver solution for our books.
Cheers IT_Senior

Another +1 to add to the pile here. It looks like somebody shipped a bad software update. Nice.
Whenever I adjust the brightness I get the same pop-up.

There's a thread on Reddit where somebody asked about the issue as well. No official replies yet: https://old.reddit.com/r/Hewlett_Packard/comments/17qgm41/hp_hotkey_support_blank_popup/

It's ridiculous. We are forced into these updates constantly, and every other time (for me) it's messed up my hotkey settings. I can't adjust my brightness at all now. I didn't need an update, or the last 10 that inevitably messed something up. Hoping for a "real" solution...whatever that means now.

Same issue here, started after my Windows update last week.
I see that my hotkey drivers havent been updated since September, could it be a compatibility issue? I tried rolling back the drivers but it does not solve the problem.
