Coroner urges TfL to do more to safeguard intoxicated passengers
Following the unintentional death of a talented young artist, a coroner has called on Transport for London to take further action to lower the likelihood of drunk passengers dying on the Tube.
On November 2 of last year, Sarah Cunningham, 31, was murdered by a Northern line Night Tube train after she jumped onto the track and entered the Tube tunnel.
At an inquest into Ms Cunningham's death on April 9, coroner Mary Hassell stated that she had taken a combination of narcotics and alcohol on a night out in Camden Town, becoming "terribly, terribly intoxicated" and "not knowing what she was doing."
